Reginald Thigpen

Originally born in Youngstown Ohio, Coach moved to Fairfield in 1997 where he joined Armijo High School's freshman football team and became obsessed with the sport. He played all four years and was selected to the North/South All-Star Game. Following high school, he attended Menlo College for one year before returning to Fairfield, CA to pursue better college opportunities, while playing at Solano Community College, he studied psychology. During this time, his love for coaching and teaching the younger generation about the game started to become a passion. He was 18 years old and was given the opportunity to coach at his alma mater while attending college, and, at this point, never looked back. After coaching at his Alma Mater as an offensive line coach, he moved down to Pop Warner in 2010 to become the offensive coordinator for the Travis Vikings 14u team, where they made the playoffs every year, averaged over 400 yards per game and also won the 2014 AYF Super Bowl. He also earned his license in psychiatric nursing during this time before moving on to coach at Fairfield High School. He also coached at Antelope High School in 2020 and with the Vacaville Bulldogs.
